Books Written by Pastor Vaughn H. Foust

God’s Word declares to us that we are to be diligent as we are “Striving for Excellence”.

The purpose of this book is to admonish and teach all of us that we are to be working really hard at, “growing in grace”, and that we all as Christians should be “Striving for Excellence”!

In this 46-page book, Pastor Foust shares what he calls “The Sin of the Lips”. It is very obvious that in our society today, and even in our churches, cursing is a real problem. It is our prayer that these thoughts can be a help to each reader in their daily lives.

“Hope For the Hopeless” In this book Dr. Woodward tries to give encouragement to those who may feel like they are at their wits end, and have no hope. In this book he looks at 13 hopeless cases found in the Bible. Often times when we face storms, needs, sicknesses, and deaths we tend to think that our situation is an impossible one. To the human mind they are impossible, yet they are handled with ease by the power of a sovereign God.

“Fixing A Fractured Church” contains 28 lessons from the book of I Corinthians. During the 60 years that I served as a pastor I had the privilege of serving in 12 different churches. Each of them had problems, but none of them had as many problems as the church at Corinth. This early church needed a lot of guidance from the Apostle Paul, and in this 276-page book we find answers to the same problems that we face in churches today.

“A Look at the Book” contains the full text of 52 radio broadcast messages taken from “THE LOOK AT THE BOOK” radio broadcasts which aired over WOCA radio for 8 years. These messages were originally prepared as full messages for church services, but later adapted to fit the time constrains of the 15 minute radio program. This is an excellent book for daily devotional studies, or to give a spring board for the busy pastor or Sunday school teacher who is looking for fresh material.

“2020 From Discouragement to Endurance” Shortly after we felt the first brunt of the 2020 shut down, because of the COVID-19 virus, Pastor Woodward noticed that many people were discouraged because of business being closed and jobs lost. He began teaching lessons on dealing with discouragement which led to the publishing of 14 lessons which he hoped would take people from a place of Discouragement to a place of Endurance. The difficult days are not over, and this book may help folks get through them.

“Old Testament Parables” gives the reader 24 lessons from 30 Old Testament parables. In each lesson the reader will discover the meaning of the parable and the application. Most of the parables covered in this book have been neglected, but they are rich in significance for Christians today. The 250 page book also contains the full text of each Scripture passage that is used in the study. The book has a lamented cover and is coil bound so that it lays flat when used as a teaching tool. Here you will discover the meaning of “The Two Eagles and the Vine”, “The Lost Prisoner”, “The Boiling Pot and the Scum”, “The Sea Monster”, and much more.
