Our Pastor

Robert Jones was born into a Christian home, in Lexington, Kentucky. After surrendering to the call of God to be a preacher at the age of 14, God began to give many opportunities to preach. Rob preached his first sermon at the age of 15 at the Science Hill Baptist Church of Somerset, KY. After High School, Rob attended the Commonwealth Baptist College, a ministry of his home church, Clays Mill Baptist Church, in Lexington. 

It was at Commonwealth Baptist College that he met his wife Myra. God has given them two beautiful daughters, Lily and Lexi. After marriage and graduation, the Joneses left for South Africa to be church-planting missionaries. They were able to start the Southwest Baptist Church of Cape Town, South Africa. The ministry grew quickly, with many souls saved and Baptized, and God blessed in a great way. 

God moved the Joneses back to the States, and they were soon called to serve at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, of Silver Springs, Florida. Rob began serving as pastor of Cedar Creek in September 2025.
